With the federal government placing new pressures on colleges and college administrators placing increasing pressure on career centers the race to help students find gainful employment is being felt nationwide.  Successful career centers will leverage the entire campus community including faculty, staff and administrators to ensure the success of students. Having an “all hands on deck” approach to career development ensures that every campus resource is engaged and mobilized to connect students to gainful employment opportunities.  Yes, this is easier said than done.  Nevertheless, after a year of planning, the Career and Professional Development Center at the University of Baltimore has successfully mobilized its ENTIRE campus to support student career planning.  An integrated approach to career services is the only way to satisfy all stakeholders and has a lasting impact on enrollment, retention and employment outcomes.
